The La Pièce team is joining the "conscious store" P A U S E from April 4 to 10 in the Marais. For its 8th edition, the founders of the dynamic, contemporary, and ethical pop-up store have chosen Paris to bring together all those committed to offering sustainable and ethical solutions.
The previous editions were a huge success in the US, the Netherlands, and Italy. See for yourself in the little teaser below. Paris is naturally joining the list of the best ethical cities in the world. It even seems that by 2024, thanks to the "Paris Good Fashion" association, it will become the capital of sustainable fashion!
The program for the PAUSE#8 pop-up by the two Amsterdam-based women originally from Argentina is simply fabulous: aperitifs, themed conferences, contemporary art exhibitions, fashion shows, and even a giant clothing swap on the 7th starting at 3 p.m. Everything is centered around the fundamental principles of the Fashion Revolution collective and everyone who believes that slow fashion is the best response to the risks mass production poses to the planet.
So no, we won't remind you of the appalling figures concerning the clothing industry's pollution rate worldwide, the amount of waste, or the human damage it causes every year... That's not our style... But all the same, these remain the essence and driving force behind the projects of the designers coming together next week.
Why will we be there, then? La Pièce was selected for several reasons. First, all our clothes are made from upcycled materials, to order, and produced through a (supra)short supply chain in France.
The second reason is that, with a minimalist and casual style, we prove that even wardrobe staples need to be adjusted to everyone's body shape. So reclaimed materials, plus made in France, and, best of all, adjusted to order, make us good representatives of Parisian ethical fashion!
The new "2045" collection will be proudly displayed as a preview at the PAUSE Pop Up. Come take a stroll through the Marais this weekend to discover it. While waiting for the next photos on our e-store, here are a few clues: pink, lots of pink, green, navy, and, of course, romanticism!
